Fine Silver - or Silver Clay - is a material which is made out of reclaimed silver particles from electronic components such as mobile phones, computer mother boards and similar pieces of recyclable items. The silver particles are retrieved, mixed with an organic binder and becomes a pliable medium which can be worked into designs. Once the piece has been designed, it is allowed to dry and then fired. During the firing process, the binder burns away, leaving the silver. The silver content exceeds .925 and can be sold as sterling silver.
